This is the official website of the Shasta County Republican Central Committee (SCRCC). SCRCC is the official body of the Republican Party in Shasta County and conducts political activities to elect Republican candidates and incumbents to all levels of elective office within the county as well as jurisdictional areas that overlap county boundaries.
The party is composed of 24 voting members, 21 regular members and 3 Ex-officio members who constitute the policies of the SCRCC. Regular members are persons elected to committee membership every four years during the direct primary election from the five supervisorial districts in the county. The number of members elected per district is calculated by population as determine by the California Elections Code.
Ex-Officio members are Republicans who received the party nominations for State Senator, Assembly, the U.S. House of Representatives, and serve on the SCRCC for the duration of office whether or not they were actually elected.
Republicans who received the Republican nominations for partisan offices elected on a statewide basis and member of the Board of Equalization are considered Ex-Officio members of the committee only if they reside in Shasta County at the time of their nominations and only if they continue to reside in the county.
SCRCC elects the following officers, Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer; who serve as the Executive Committee and conduct monthly business meetings that are open to the public.
